| The Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx |
The Garmin GPSMAP 60csx is an upgrade from the previous venerable Garmin 60CS, the 7.5-ounce GPSMap 60CSx now has an insanely accurate, high sensitivity GPS receiver by SiRF that tracks all your movements even in tree cover and canyons.
When upgrading from a 60CS to a 60CSx, you'll lose two things. One is that you won't have the alarm clock, and the passive barometric tracking. You'll also lose the sleep mode, which means these two things will not work for you if you turn the unit off.
That's OK though because a lot of people wouldn't normally use these functions anyways. Also, the SiRF III would certainly make up for the lack of these two features.

With the Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx you'll get a bright, sunlight-readable color TFT display with a 64 MP microSD card for storage, just in case you need the storage space for some additional map details. Plus you'll also get a 60CSx's integrated barometric altimeter and electronic compass. This is a powerful unit you don't want to go without, it will take you anywhere no matter if it's by land or sea.
Another notable feature of the 60CSx is the 10,000 pint automatic track log; 20 saved tracks (500 points each) which will let you retrace your steps in both directions. There's also a dual position display mode and a large numbers option for easy viewing, with this you'll never get lost even if you want to.
